Mother's Day card

Good morning everyone, I have actually finished the Mother's Day card I have been making, in time for Mothers Day which is an achievement in itself 😂 I always leave things till the last minute so to have it completed with a day to spare is a first.
The image is from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and the character is Flossie Bumblethorpe.

Sorry for the poor quality of the picture, but my camera isn't great. You can zoom in for a closer look if you really want too.
She has been colored with Copics, the colours I used are listed below:
E51, E21, E33, E35, R37, BG13, BG15, BG49, BG09, R83, RV34, R85, RV17, RV06, V01, V12, G21, YG63, G94, E70, E71, E74 plus some others that I didn't make a note of. The little dots on the blouse are made with a glitter gel pen and I added glossy accents to the grapes on her hat, her lips, the glass in her glasses, her earring and the metal areas (coloured yellow) on her bag.

Here's the finished card.

I decided to make a shaker card so fussy cut the image out before sticking it to my shaker. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant - Happy Everything and can be purchased from Tracy at Dies to Die For

Have a good weekend everyone and enjoy your Mother's Day, however you choose to spend it. I will be visiting my MIL on Sunday and then my own Mother's Day will be on Monday when I get to spend the day with my own daughter and my new grandson 😀

This last weekend I completed my European Copic Colouring Programme and whilst obviously over the moon in obtaining my certificate I also felt slightly sad that it was over. I am far from being any kind of expert in using Copics but the course provides you with so much information on using the pens and different colouring techniques. That you have the confidence to continue on your colouring journey and tackle images that would of previously filled you with dread or you would of avoided like the plague. The main thing is to practice, practice, practice which is what I now have to do.

The classes are taught by the lovely Faye Wynn-Jones, she is an amazing teacher, with the patience of a saint and a great sense of humour. If you are interested in completing the programme yourself then you can find all the details here on Faye's blog Stampin Fluffnstuff. A link to Faye's classes can also be found at Dies to Die For, Tracy who runs this online shop along with her husband brings a pop-up shop alongside Faye's classes. Make sure you have been saving your pennies as there is so much stuff that you really can't live without. I always end up spending a small fortune, despite having very stern words with myself beforehand 😂😂 It never works.

I'm hoping that on my next post I can actually share a make with you all. I'm still trying to get my Mother's Day makes completed 🙂 they will be done in time it's just me leaving everything to the last minute as always.

New Beginnings

It had been so long since I last posted on my old blog, Butterflies and Brambles that I have decided that it is most probably much easier to start over with a new blog. Somewhere to share little snippets of my life and also all the different things that I make and enjoy. So if you are reading this please give me a follow and join me on my new blogging journey
